Construction cranes in the background and skyscraper façades are illuminated by the first glistening sunlight. The next beach bar is not far away. Wall surrogates at the memorial. Posts mark the former course of the memorial. As if pegged into place, some to be impaled on. Condensed into double posts, they take on the shape of cages. Behind them, the totally new building. Chic properties and lofts as investments or for personal use. Memory and history concreted over. The real fragment of the Wall is isolated, out of sight.
